      Joe,

Thanks, I went ahead and removed the damaged plank and reinstalled.

I am coming close to finishing plank installation. All that is left is one last strip ( about 4″) at shower base. See photo.

I have seen the video where you use Alex Plus to trim-out the gap between a tub and plank. Would you recommend this? My shower base does not bow in or out so I wondered if an end cap transition is an option. I have also seen rubbery adhesive strips in other peoples’ videos. Does the Alex Plus allow for expansion?

      Thanks, Jim

    Joe,

I had a question that might be dumb but wondered if you had answer.

I have the 1/4″ gap or so to allow expansion of the floating floor around the perimeter. But I guess I am not sure if I need to leave a gap when installing baseboard to allow floor to expand up and down. Maybe a business card thickness or so?

    Thanks, Jim

No. The floor will still be able to move with the base sitting on top of the plank. The plank will probably never move anyway, the walls will.
