Vinyl over laminate

No. I would remove the laminate. Laminate is really simple to tear out, the problem is the height difference between the laminate and you vinyl plank could cause gaps in door jambs. Is that true in this case?

Good morning. Thank you for the quick response. All four of my bedrooms are floating laminate, the hallway they are off of is tile. They are at the same Height. My concern is putting a vinyl floating floor on top of a laminate floating floor. Will it make noise or cause the floor to fail and if so, can I just nail the existing laminate down to the subfloor to make it non floating and go right over it?

You could staple it but it will probably chip. I would demo it and build the floor up with some osb or some type of subfloor. I think going over the laminate is a bad idea.
