Should I use vapor barrier?
I was just watching Joe’s video on concrete vs. wood. I will be putting Trucor SPC down on the concrete floor of my basement. I haven’t had moisture problems. Joe suggested use Quietwalk or use nothing at all. I lean toward nothing at all (cheaper and simpler!) but the installation instructions (see below) say that vapor barrier is required so i’m not sure what i should do. Any advice?

Hey Andrew, where do you live? How old is your house? Newer houses have a vapor barrier installed before the concrete is poured. If you are worried, I would just install one. But, you should watch this video first – https://youtu.be/VXMjN3US-Yk

North east maryland is where i live. home built in 1997. I had bought a plastic sheeting, saw you recommend quiet walk over anything else though so I will return that
