Question related to installation of vinyl plank on stairs

@joeletendre if you already have a video that answers this question please feel free to just direct me to the video. Prep work has been completed on my stairs and I am ready to install the vinyl plank and nose. As you will see in the photos, I will need to use (2) planks on each tread and make a cut. My preference is to cut the plank that will be covered by the nose. Is this the way a pro would install plank on each tread?

With that style of nosing that is perfectly fine to do it that way.
