Is this asbestos?
I heard sheet vinyl is typically ok but when ripping this up, i noticed this gray fiber looking adhesive they used. I got worried and stopped. Am I ok to keep going or should i call in someone to remove?

I am not sure what that is. As far as calling someone in, that is completely up to you. I only know it is not cheap. In my state, I am allowed to remove asbestos on my own if it is in my own home. With that being said, I would take every precaution to be safe. The first thing you can do is bring a sample somewhere that will test to see if it is asbestos.
