Help with starting layout please
I am helping my daughter and son in law figure out where to start in their new house build. They want the entry to be lengthwise into the kitchen. The entire house is getting laminate except for the bathrooms. They would like to not work backwards as much as possible. They also want to know if they should lay the floor before the door/wall trim, and kitchen island are installed.

I think the island is getting installed on Wednesday and the door casings and maybe the trim is coming soon. So they may have to work around it.

Also, the floorplan is “flipped” in their actual build. Not sure if that matters for your blueprint, but it does make my brain work a little harder.

Yes the closet is getting the flooring as well. I think they are planning on doing the floor this weekend. I don’t think they are doing the baseboard trim until after the floor is laid. They are doing the door trim and window trim. And yes, please include showing how to floor around the kitchen island. That little panty in the hall is also getting that flooring. It is not very deep.
