Regarding the dips that we are considering on the concrete slab in preparation of laying vinyl plank – including the 3/4 inch dip in the kitchen near the garage door

We washed the floor and the water filled the dips so it seems we could level these areas pretty easily .

Should we level these small variations and if yes, since it is covered in mastic what should we use to fill them ?

Use Ardex Feather Finish and nothing else. NO SUBSTITUTES! This is the only product I trust to stick to cut back adhesive.

    Hi Joe

Been thinking about this dip and maybe I just fill it and add a threshold

    As noted in the video

Are there any downsides to this?

the plan was to run the floor directly into the laundry room without threshold – but a threshold , I guess , is not really a big deal

    Thanks

Tried to attach video but typo big

So here is the Apple video link

As you can see I spray painted the floor to highlight the dip
