    Joe-

I’m putting Shaw Paragon Plus LVT (12″x24″) in the basement bathroom and either Adura Rigid or Trends In Rigid Sovereign throughout the rest of the basement.

The bathroom subfloor is acceptably flat throughout, but on the left 40% of the room the concrete goes from 0 to about 3/4″ low out of level in 4′.

I’m thinking if I put thin lumber against the wall at the low end I could ride my screed board along it. Then remove the lumber and sort of slope the patch down toward the walls. I don’t want to build the edges up too high or else the baseboard height wouldn’t match across the room. What do you think?

What are your thoughts on using Henry 547 to level concrete? It’s a bit cheaper than 549 and I anticipate needing a decent amount of patch for the whole basement.

Do I need to fill the joints in the concrete between the slabs? I think they are the expansion cuts, but I don’t know much about concrete. Thanks Joe.
