Hi Joe and all, we are doing a whole house (upstairs) reflooring project. We are using Cali Bamboo vinyl plank that is 7.0625 in wide and 48 in. long.

From the picture you can see what rooms are getting new flooring.

We thought about starting in the entry way. With vinyl, do we still need to start two rows back from the wall? We have measured every room and know exactly the sizes of the flooring up against every wall according to our reference line, including where we would start (would be a board at 3.75 in). I’m just curious and trying to wrap my brain around starting two rows back and not with the 3.75 in board?

Your advice would be welcomed!! Thanks!

You just leave one row out. Can you share a pic of the system on all 4 sides of your plank.

We did end up working off the reference line in the hallway extending out into the main living area, working backwards into the entry way. We are having an issue with the stair nose transition piece. I will send pictures soon.
