Allen floorplan / blueprint request
Hi Joe, we appreciate your content so much, thanks! We’ve taken the downstairs of our house down to bare concrete, looking to install LLflooring CoreLuxe. We think we’d prefer the direction of flooring to run left to right in the drawing, vice up and down unless you think that’s a horrible idea.
A couple of items of concern:
Trying to avoid transitions and have the entire downstairs a continuous surface.
The carpet tack strips left divots in the concrete where the nails came out. Assume we should fill those in with featheredge?
I have hundreds of feet of shoe molding ready to go, but the front door, sliding door, and fireplace hearth will need to use end piece molding, right??
There are a couple of stress relief cuts in the concrete, should we fill those with featheredge as well?
Appreciate everything you have out there, and your assistance.

Good morning Joe, thank you for your time and tutelage. Think we’ll go with the East to West orientation. Attached photos:
Fireplace hearth overall and detail. It’s pretty tall (pencil for scale). I like the idea of black caulking it where the planks terminate against the hearth. Also have on hand some matching color end caps, photo attached. The planks are only 5mm, but will be on top of Quietwalk, so they might reach a little more than halfway up the hearth.
Photos of planks themselves attached. LLflooring refers to the installation type as “click”… not helpful. Are we looking at drop n lock, or tongue / groove here? I’ve watched your videos of both methods, just didn’t know how to translate “click”….

I blame old eyes, just realized in the zoomed photo of the plank box it states “drop lock”. Would never see that with the naked eye..
