@joeletendre HUGE thank you for your assistance and the many options for me to explore here, Joe. Drilling into the concrete to attach anything will not be a problem for me since I’m already doing that in the rooms that require 1/2 inch concrete board to level up to the tile. To answer your question concerning what is underneath my ceramic tile, this would be concrete. My stairs and landing on the second floor will also be covered with vinyl plank and those areas have wood as a subfloor so I have a great mix here to work with. Thanks again for your prompt and thorough response to my question. Joining your Laminate University has definitely boosted my confidence to complete this project successfully!
