Thanks for the reply Joe…as a follow-up question:
What is the recommended width to cover an expansion gap of 3/8″? Seems to me if I use 1/2″ shoe mold that the 1/8″ that I have to play with will not be enough if the floor contracts in the cold months or am I overthinking this?
My guess is that I need to maintain at least a minimum of a 1/4″ of overlap with whatever molding I choose to use.
