When you say to have planks “land in the doorway”. What does that mean?

I’m not sure how much it matters, but it you refer to my original floor plan picture, the small area off the kitchen is a butler pantry. There is no door/door jamb there. There is a door in the pantry/storage and the bedroom off the butler pantry.

I went ahead and took the plunge and ordered the Quietwalk. I went with the black one as a happy medium with cost/benefit.
