  • Where should tile end for transition

Posted by Carlos on May 9, 2024 at 8:11 pm

Before I start my LVP flooring project, there is a small bathroom that will be tile flooring. That’s the only room in the house that I will be using tile and that will need a transition. Where in the door jamb should the tile end? In the last picture, it shows where it will end if I start with a whole time in the starting wall, but of course that can be adjusted. Thanks.

Hey Joe, thanks for replying and making the video. Yes, the door closes where you first assumed. I can start with a 1/2 piece like you mentioned, so that I can adjust it when it reaches the door jamb end.

Right now I don’t have the transitions yet, but yes, it will transition to LifeProof LVP flooring.

Hey Joe, back to the tile question that I posted a few weeks ago. If my tile goes to the blue line that you suggested, then I trim the door jamb halfway only to the are I traced in red? (please see image).

If I tile till the green line, flush with the door “stop”, is that too far?

    Thanks
