Vapor barrier required on concrete floor if laminate contains a barrier?
Good morning. Newbie here and this is my first post (of which I am sure will be many). I purchased Quick-Step Laminate flooring; Baxter Waterproof Laminate to be exact. This will be installed on a concrete slab that has never gotten wet in my 21 years of living there. The brochure stated the barrier is attached. Should I still put down something on the floor?

Joe, thanks for the reply. The laminate is 12mm, and here are a couple pics of the locking system and the installed barrier.

If you are willing to add the extra expense, I would suggest using quiet walk pad – https://amzn.to/3FE7ku4 . Otherwise, definitely use a vapor barrier.
