To cut or not to cut
I think I made a mistake and looking for advice. I finished about 900 square feet in our main living area. The hallway being the focal point as you walk into and out of the main living area. At one end of the hallway is a closet (middle photo)at the base of that closet I did NOT put in expansion space. At the western end of the same plank run (1st photo) approx 40 ft. I have 1/4 + 1/2 (under the sheet rock) or a total of 3/4 of an inch for expansion. After thinking about this more I feel like I should have put at least the 1/4 inch expansion as the base of the closet (last photo) to be eventually covered by quarter round.
Looking for comments/suggestions.
I feel I could cut in this expansion area with an oscillating tool.
