  • Scribing around jagged grout or undercut the grout?

I saw the post about scribing around the fireplace and am in the same type of situation but with a brick wall where the grout meets the tile floor. I have seen where people have undercut the grout and slid the plank under vs. scribe around. Is this a good Idea? The first pic is the floor plan and the plank direction, the second pic the end of the wall in the doorway where the plank will continue through and the third pic is the wall. The next room I do is the room with the brick wall and the plank will run long way against the wall. Which would be the best in this situation? The wall is 14′. Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you Joe. There is about 1/2″ jagged grout line filling in the space between the brick and the tile. The baseboard you see in the pic was already placed and I decided to undercut that too because the floor was an afterthought to the rest of the project. Thank you for your advice.
