    Hi Joe,

Attached is my floorplan. Each grid square is 1’x1′. Requesting blueprint, starting point, etc! I am planning to use Lifeproof Arnica Lake Oak. I have a bit of dilemma on direction. I think what makes most sense is to run east to west from the kitchen into the family room. Unfortunately, that makes for short perpendicular pieces in the hall way from the front door to the rest of house, but it preserves proper direction in the main use area of the house and has the floor running into the fireplace focal point. Do you agree? Any other things you think I should watch out for? Let me know if you need any more info. Thanks again, Adam

PS. Thanks for your answer about demo’ing ceramic tile. Areas A,B,C, and D are my tile that I need to remove!

Also wondering if I can just run the plank all the way to the fireplace. It is a natural gas fireplace. Previously this room was carpeted, but had a little ceramic tile hearth in front. I would rather not put a tile hearth in, unless required by code or something.

You can definitely go up to a gad fireplace. Here is a video I would like you to watch – http://somup.com/crXF2q0XS8

I screen clipped this to keep the grid lines. Also attached is the export from Sketchboard if you prefer. There are notes and questions included in the image. I have also uploaded photos of the locking system

Hi Joe, this blueprint is very helpful. Thank you. Question: when establishing my starting line in living room, do I need to project things back to front door to ensure I don’t have too skinny a plank along front door? Or is a thin plank along front door not really a problem?

It is in the kitchen where I am beginning to work backwards. I could still slide some roofing paper in under the low spot or spray the foam in from the side.

I would! Or you can let the plank fall where it falls.

Hi Joe, you have been really helpful. Thank you. I have a soft spot about 1 foot square where there is a little flex. I am way too far in to undo the install. I see you tube videos on injecting a little non expanding foam to form up. Have you ever tried that? Is it a good solve? Or do you recommend a different solution?

It is in the kitchen where I am just starting to work backwards. I could slide some roofing paper in from side to build up a little. Or I could spray some non-expanding foam in from the side. Utility knife is in photo is laying in middle of the soft spot. Probably actually only about 1’x1’

Thanks Joe. Cardboard worked like a charm.
