    Hi Joe,

It turns out the existing vinyl plank in my kitchen was laid on top of original linoleum, which was installed on a build up of 1/2 inch particle board on top of the wood subfloor. All other floors are at subfloor height.

Am I safe to remove all the particle board, while scribing and cutting around the cabinets since they are installed on top of it, so I can have my new vinyl planks at the same height throughout the house?

(I probably should have asked before I started demo!)

    Thanks, Jeff.

Joe, you’re amazing. I should have known you would have a video addressing my situation. I’m heading back over there with my circular saw and will tear out that darn particle board in pieces.

      Thanks!
