    Hi Joe,

I have a question about my plank install on the outer hallway stairs.

This hallway and stair area is not heated in the winter. The temp in this area is in the lower 50’s in the winter where the rest of the house is heated to between 60 and 68.

The plank in this outer hallway and stair area is not connected to the plank in the rest of the house.

I plan to use plank on the stair treads and risers here.

Looking at the pic showing the lower stairs. I was thinking of folding the plank over the edge of the landing and onto the riser of the top stair. I would like to glue that plank down as the plank on the other stair treads and risers would be glued. The plank on that first part of the landing would not float but the rest of the plank on the landing could float or possibly be glued down. I would like to do the same on the upper stair landing and broom closet shown in the pic where the air compressor is.

The lower landing area is about 9’ X 4’ and the broom closet area is about 7’ X 6’

Do you think that this would be OK to do?

    Thanks
