    Hi Joe,

We are receiving our new flooring next week – and are very busy this week thinning out our belongings, loading furniture into a POD, popping baseboards, and painting walls in prep to start. However, we would love to get your input before we begin laying this floor. Specifically, where to start, where to go next (etc), and in particular, how to navigate the crazy angles in the hallway leading to bedrooms.

And since we’re brand new here, apologies if I’ve put this question in the wrong place – or if this info exists somewhere on the site.

    Thanks –

    Beth & Eric

Hey Beth, are all the areas on the drawing getting vinyl plank?

Yes, all areas will receive the LVP (including bathrooms, kitchen, pantry, and laundry). Currently, there is carpet and rolled vinyl – that is what you are seeing on the drawing.

Also, the floor isn’t being delivered until Tuesday – and we still have to get the walls painted first, so no huge rush.

This is the product we ordered (Nucore Performance from Floor & Decor). We can send pic of the edges once we actually receive the planks.

We are planking every interior space on the drawing (including laundry, pantry, kitchen, and bathrooms).

Our home is on a concrete slab. We are ordering a lot of the tools you recommend, but quick question. Are the glue sticks and Masterweld adhesive interchangeable or do we need both for securing on the slab (where we can’t drill screw into subfloor)?

    Enjoy your church retreat.

You should not need to use masterweld.

Would you like the plank direction to go east and west or North and South?

We were initially starting our layout with the planks going East and West. Starting the flooring in that front bedroom (the place you started in your video). That is our preference but please give your thoughts and advice.

I think we are going to go with East and West.

Hi Joe another quick question, we want to buy some screws instead of the adhesive. We want to get your suggestions on type, size, whatever you think is important.
