Padding or not?
Hi Joe, this is the vinyl plank I’m using, it states with pad attached, but in the details states requires padding. Many of your videos show some sort of padding laid down under your vinyl plank – so I’m not sure if I need to or not. I have particle board on second floor type installation…

Your manufacturer is stating it is ok to do this and they even recommend it so yes, I would install the pad.

I guess what’s confusing is that it has a pad attached, but also states pad recommended. In other replies you’ve said not to double up on pad due to issues with stress etc…so that doesn’t apply here?

They have obviously tested their plank and are confident in using a pad.
