Need some advise. Planks in great room are running in the same direction as the hallway. Fireplace is located in the corner. I have a porcelain (24X36) in front of wood burning fireplace to protect against hot sparks from the fireplace. Porcelain will be held in place by thin set. Edging for porcelain is oak reducer and will be glued to porcelain. Will Loctite PL 8X hold reducer to porcelain? I had planned to run planks in front and on the sides, cut at the proper degree (45 or less), under reducer which I think should work. How do I handle the corners? Can I cut a V in the plank and slip under the reducer? Thanks for your help. See attached.
