Humps vs Dips
I’m starting prep on my concrete subfloor. In some places it feels like it could be a hump, but if I put the straight edge on the hump then it looks like a dip on either side. Is there a way to know if it’s really hump versus dips?

I thought I had another example, but I can’t seem to find it in my floor again. I’ll keep checking. In the meantime what do you think about this? And also do you think I should fill the crack with Ardex? I think the Ardex instructions said NOT to fill the crack.

Awesome. Thanks so much Joe. Yeah, I just got done having some drywall replaced so the floor is super dusty. Will definitely clean it real well before I get to patching any spots and laying plank.
