Hall to Bathroom Height Difference
Hey Joe. So I’ve started the demo of some work upstairs. Pulled out some carpet today. I found that the bathroom looks to have an additional 1/4″ of ply or something under the linoleum. I’m guessing it would be easier to remove that in the bathroom than to add subfloor to the hall and office that I’m doing up here. I’m slightly concerned about it running under the cabinets and maybe the tub. I’m not sure yet as I haven’t tried to remove anything in there yet.
This project sure came with a lot more surprises than I ever thought, but I’m working my through them one at a time. Thanks for all your help and advice.

I would remove it. It won’t be under the tub and it is easy enough to cut around the vanity if needed. I do have a video on that in the demo s3ction of the Plank Installation Guide.
