Floor transitions around tile fireplace
So I had planned on using an end cap around my fireplace (like you used in the video for stair railing). But the tile is too tall and the sharp edges are not covered. It is the correct height if I place it ontop of the flooring but I am assuming that does not work with the gap allowance requirements. Undercutting the tile grout like your fireplace video shows also does not work because of the sharp tile edges.
So I am asking to see what other options I have for around the fireplace. Also what kind of molding should I use around the wood fireplace surround? Quarter round? The white baseboards that will be used agains wall? Something else? (The wood will be painted soon so do not take the yellow color of fireplace wood into consideration)
Thank you in advance. I am slowly but surely making progress on our flooring. I have been enjoying the installation so thank you for all your help and tips, they have made it so easy.
