Hi, I’m new to the site and forums. My wife and I are in the decision phase of our new flooring journey. A top contender is Mohawk UltraWood Plus solely based on color, grain, appearance. It’s an HDF core product with a real wood veneer on the top and bottom of each plank. It installs as click/floating and requires a separate underlayment. I’m curious if others have experience with this specific product or other HDF engineered wood products and have any feedback good or bad? I’m particularly interested in the sound/feel of it under foot as compared to LVP. Is it better, worse, the same in terms of sound and feeling of solidity? Thank you for any information.

It will feel and sound pretty solid. It is a floating floor so it would have a hollow sound if you walk on it with shoes that have heals.
