The prior owner had a linoleum or vinyl floor installed at one point that was replaced with engineered wood. I am now replacing the engineered wood with Mannington Adura Rigid 5.5 mm LVP. The contractor that replaced the linoleum with engineered wood ripped up the underlayment and then pounded the staples into the OSB. I’ve removed all the staples that stick out but wonder if I need to remove the ones that were pounded into the OSB. There’s probably ~1000 in there so would take days on my hands and knees. Am ok just putting the Adura Rigid right on top of them if they are flush with the surface of the OSB? Pictures with penny for scale.

Joe I have this same issue but not all of them are flush. If I run a shovel over them it gets stuck in some places but they don’t go any deeper (promise I’ve hammered for a long time. ) how flush do they need to be? Should I try to cut all of them with oscillating saw?
