      Thanks, Joe!

When do we get to attaching that nosing, what method of fastening would you recommend? It’s kind of a thin plastic.

      Thanks in advance! Bob

    Hi, Joe!

We’re finally ready to begin the plank on the main floor. Drawing attached. Plank will run NORTH-SOUTH.

In the product instructions for our material, SHAW says we can glue down the plank under the cabinets in the kitchen. We have to glue down any plank within 24 inches of any base cabinet. Cabinets are all new and not installed. We contacted Shaw’s technical support team and it seems like a relatively simple process. They recommended a SHAW glue, but we were wondering what you think about doing this and which glue you may use. Let me know when you have a chance. Thanks! Bob

      Hi, Joe!

      Quick update…

I know it’s been awhile since I posted but everything has been going very smoothly thanks to your guidance! The main floor of the home is now complete. We decided to install the flooring under the cabinets without glue, so it’s fully floating. The end cabinet on the peninsula is the only place we felt the need to attach to the floor since there is no wall connection out there. So, we used a reciprocating tool to cut a hole in 1 plank and then mounted a 2×4 to the subfloor that we could screw the cabinet to. We cut to hole larger than the 2×4 so the floor has the 1/4″ gap to float in/out of. Tonight we are beginning the stairs. We have a couple of cases of adhesive on-hand so I think we’re ready to go. If you’re interested, I’ll post some videos once we finish the stairs. We are thrilled with the results so far! Thanks again! Bob
