Hi Joe, thanks for all your help! I ran into problems in the third row with planks moving and I could not get them locked properly. I ended up tearing out much of what I had done, going back to my string line and following your original instructions. That worked perfectly. I bought a cheap jigsaw and was able to complete the rows around the fireplace, again following your methods (see pic – turned out well).
Now I’m ready to finish up the main room and move to the other sections. There is a partition I need to go under (see second picture with scrap boards lined up for scale). I need some advice on the best way to tackle that issue.
Also, I have found that once the butt joints on these planks have been joined together, separating them ruins the locking mechanism on the Groove plank most of the time. Do you know of a better technique to separate planks?

Okay, so I made it through the doorways -it was a challenge but I went under the partition (see pic1). I did the closet easily and will follow your steps for the bathroom.
Question- how should I handle the transition at the stairs? Should I try to tuck the plank underneath the carpet? Should I undercut the stringer OR just lay the plank close and grout OR use quarter round? The last plank there will only be 2” wide.
