This is a double-wide mobile home. We just had it professionally releveled last Saturday. It has an OSB subfloor. We are planning to install vinyl plank flooring. In the picture, we are flooring the Master Bedroom and closet, Office area, Living Room, Kitchen/Dining Room, including under the fridge and inside the two pantries, Guest Bedroom and closet. Each square represents 1 square foot. We are leaving the linoleum in the Master Bathroom and Laundry/Hallway/Guest Bathroom. The arrows represent doors.

The tiny bit of the subfloor that I have seen so far is not great, but I don’t want to add hundreds of pounds of concrete to the weight of the home in order to level the floor. I am think that I can chip out the high spots and smooth it out with whatever product you recommend.

I don’t know what questions I need to ask.

    Thanks!!!

    Hi Joe,

    1. Yes, we are ending the plank where you drew the line at the hallway to the laundry room. We are also ending the plank at the doorway to the Master Bathroom.

    2. Sorry for the confusion! We had the mobile home releveled. The mobile home sits on piers and they settle over time. The home was out of level and we needed it releveled before we did any other construction.

    3. Thanks for the Henrys 549 tip!

    4. Which sides of the plank are the tongue and groove on? If you are holding the plank vertically, the top and right side are on top and the bottom and left side are on the bottom. The first way you drew it in the video. See the attached picture.

    5. Which direction are we orienting the planks? East and West. Oriented along the length of the mobile home.

I am really glad that I found you! I will feel much more comfortable tackling this job with your tutelage.

    Thanks Joe!

I just remembered to mention that the planks are varying lengths and widths:

    Widths: 5, 6 and 7 inches

    Lengths: 24 and 48 inches.

    Thanks!
