Hello Joe,

I’m sure you were a bit lost without the info in the emails!

The home is a triad A-frame with three stories. The one in the CAD drawing is the main floor and it has wooden subfloor. I have attached photos of my original drawings that hopefully will make things a little more clear.

I don’t think I need any help on the basement area. In the photo it shows a transition from the hall to the sitting area. But I have now decided to just go straight down the hall and have the angles in the sitting area.

The stairs are open beam 4″x10″ solid fir. I’m using metal to trim them out. there will be a log end cap added to cover the edges. it’s a bit different so I attached a photo.

In the main floor original drawing is my original layout with a transition at the kitchen. However now I’m planning on running parallel with the end wall in the kitchen (with the sliding door) and just continuing into the great room with no transition.

The stone circle is a hearth for the wood stove. My plan is to scribe to the stone areas with a gap. Then grout or caulk the gap. Another thought would be to fill the gap with a trim of manilla rope. The house is pretty rustic so I think the look would be alright. Your thoughts on transitioning to the stone will be appreciated.

My LVP is LifeProof its about 9″x48″ With the tongue side toward you the end tongue is on the right.

I think that about covers it. Thanks again for your help, Joe Riches

      Good morning!

Yes, the direction you show on the main floor looks to me like the way to go. I think it will lay out in the big room really well.

The way you show the T&G is correct.

The bathroom is done in the same LVP just a different color.

I think I’m good in the basement. I’m just going straight down the hall and continuing that layout back into the sitting area with no transition. Unless you see some big issue?

Thanks for your nice comments on our home we love it. That carpet has been down for 18 years so we are really looking forward to the upgrade!

Wow! There is a ton of information here. A timeline is definitely the way to go.

I’m sure I will have questions as I move along so I’ll be in touch.

Thanks again for all the help. And thoughts and prayers for your granddaughter.
