Blueprint Request
Hello Joe, I have attached the drawing of my house. I am using Sam’s Club flooring 47.60 in x 6.22 in per plank.
* I know would like your opinion on flooring direction. Based on your videos I think it would be East and West. ( I mark True North on my drawing.)
*would like to know where I should start my flooring?

Good morning Joe, sorry I missed this notification.
1. I’m fine with Starting in room 2. That will let me get my feet wet before I end the main area.
2. see the pics attached if you need me to take a video will do.
I will go back and watch the video about laying how to start without having transitions. would you be able to tell me if I need to lay down a vapor barrier? I’m on a concrete slab home is from the 50’s and I’m in So Cal

Good morning Joe, so far so good a few hiccups along the way but nothing one of your videos didn’t help me with, just had to go back and rewatch them.
Question: What can I do here at this backdoor I don’t want to see this gap? Door and floor is same level so I may have to take some MM off the door at the end

Joe, no worries I hope everyone gets well!
I will cut the bottom of my door. I put in a few more rows and the door won’t open at all. I think this is the best bet. With that being said should I put in a transition here or add the sill plate you were talking about?

Okay, so I took the door out and lifted it about a 1/4 or so and it is better than expected. Thank you Joe 1 room left and my project is done!!!!
