ok, unfortunately i dont have any more of my t molding, but i have a piece of the reducer that goes with it. I think this is what you mean in the pic. i think it will be very close in height with no tripping hazard this way.

ok, so just use the T molding. wasnt sure. sounds like a plan. now i just need to flatten the subfloor.
