@joeletendre I have one additional question for you concerning subfloor. I am installing 1/2 inch concrete board in each room where I have removed carpet. Placing 1/2 inch concrete board in each of these rooms will level the floor to our ceramic tile so I will be able to place our vinyl plank in all rooms on the same level surface. My question: In an area where I have had to apply thinset over the concrete board where I have covered the 1/8 inch gap between two boards (ref picture below), would I need to re-cut this seam between the two concrete boards so that I have a 1/8 gap between each of the 2 joining boards for expansion?
