Hi Joe, sorry for the confusion on the drawing.

    1. We will be laying plank on all of the rooms except the bathrooms with other plank or the rooms that say no plank. All of the other rooms will have plank. I was noting what exists in those rooms currently for context.

    2. The only issues we have had with the bamboo is with water leaks from appliances.

    3. We are in Southwest Florida so the environment is hot and humid most of the year. The slabs are poured with vapor barriers between the soil and the pad so no issues with moisture coming up from the slab unless it is a flooding or hurricane issue.

    4. We originally had planned on removing the bamboo but ran into a challenge with the back bedroom. To get it flat, we used self leveler to level the floor and it brought it up the the bamboo in the hallway so we pivoted and decided to just float over the bamboo. Which brings up questions:

    a. We had so many challenges with the leveler that we had a hard time doing that throughout the house. We used 20 bags just in that room alone. If we pulled the bamboo, what would we do with the bedroom that is now level with the bamboo.

    b. The concrete was in terrible shape in the bedroom and has been a nightmare trying to get flat even with leveler. I heard in one of your videos about using tar paper and so that was the direction we started going on Saturday and was working well to sort out the small dips and inconsistencies. We are not greatly opposed to pulling the bamboo but will need some desperate help with flattening the current slab.

    c. Planks are Smartcore and will include some photos.

I also took a few pics of the rooms. We were dry fitting to see how it laid on the tar paper and Henry’s that I had already laid.
