    Answering your questions and comments:
    – Yes your North is actually north so that’s good

    – Yes I’d like to avoid transitions. Pretty much the reason I hired you! (Thanks for this service by the way)

    – Yes my name is Jay and Scottys is name of the street in the the address of the home

    – Yes I want to do the island/kitchen last as the timing on trades and inspections there is unknown and I’d like to get flooring/baseboards/etc completed in the rest of the house while I’m waiting

    – Seems to me that I should lay the boards E <-> W so the long side of the board is going the length of the hallway. If you disagree let me know but that seems to be the best approach.

    – I think my preferred layout direction is starting at the NE corner bedroom. Some things to think about with that approach.

    1. The kitchen area where I need to go around island an cabinets has to be done backwards. Is that a huge problem or just a minor annoyance?
    2. How much of the section from Hallway to the West do I need to do to be able to wrap around to the Den (with the double doors facing W). I guess I’d need to extend one or two rows from the hallway all the way to the West wall and secure those with scrap? Or can I wrap around without extending the hallway all the way to the that far West wall?

    Some more questions:
    – Ignoring the slab moisture does the bit of padding provided by QuietWalk help with the “feel” of the floor? Does it help make the floor more less tolerant of imperfections?

    – In the hall bathroom I pulled up linoleum. Much of the paper backing of the linoleum hasn’t been removed. Can I put the flooring over that paper? It’s a pain to remove from the slab. I did remove it elsewhere (master toilet/shower and laundry room)
