I removed the lino and discovered that there is a 1/4 floor over the actual subfloor. I am including another photo see what I am dealing with. This particular photo shows the transition between the bathroom and the bedroom. We are installing the VLP in the bathroom and it will be matching up with new carpet and pad in the adjacent bedroom. The new carpet and pad will be pretty thick, so I am wondering what to do next with respect to the additional subfloor in the bathroom. Should I leave the additional subfloor and just try to scrape up what remains of the felt or do I need to remove that 1/4″ subfloor altogether?
