Remove original floor or install over it? Also some mold/mildew issues
Hello,
I am getting some mixed advice on whether I should remove the floor in the kitchen, lay the new floor over it, or bring up the rest of the sub floor in the house. The linoleum sheets are laid on plywood and screwed/nailed to the subfloor. I was easily able to remove the same floor from the laundry room, however, the transition from the living room to the kitchen has a leveling material that I am not sure how to get up. If I remove the floor then I have to also take my cabinets out because they are sitting on this layer of floor(I will be adding a few cabinets, and I will want them to be level).
My second question pertains to the laundry room floor. There is a mold or milder on the subfloor and part of the wall. How should I remove it, or would replacing the subfloor be better?
Thanks!
