Fastening of 1/2" Plywood to match height of old engineered hardwood for LVP
Hi Joe… Tomorrow(Friday) I’m getting 11 sheets delivered of 1/2″ sanded plywood to install in a bedroom that was carpet to match the height of the old cheap engineered hardwood that I’m installing the Mannington Apex on. Here is what is looks like now: https://photos.app.goo.gl/hUcfeHBTbgSQTEvbA
In one of your videos to me you mentioned to run some beads of (I think) construction glue on the underside of the plywood and then nail or staple every 4 or 5 inches.
Currently my only nailer/stapler is this 18GA one from Harbor Freight: https://photos.app.goo.gl/suuTKcDdChFwPk7d9
It can do only 18GA Brad Nails 5/8″ to 2″ OR it can do 18 GA Narrow Crown Staples from 5/8″ to 1.5″ long according to the specs on the air gun.
My question is will that work? (the 18GA) And if so, would I use the Brad Nail or the Narrow Crown Staples? Also, What Length?
If none of that will work, I will purchase another air gun that can do a different size if you recommend I do.
Here is the plywood that is coming Friday: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Plytanium-15-32-CAT-PS1-09-Square-Structural-Plywood-Pine-Application-as-4-x-8/3010108

Thanks Joe!
