Hi Joe,
Thanks for your thorough response. Because I’m at home in AZ I had to draw the layout from memory. It’s close, but based on your reply some clarifications are needed.
1. There are not 2 doors to Bdrm 1. The N-S door is actually a small broom closet accessible from the hall. The E-W door is to the bedroom.
2. The entryway hall is not 4’5″ wide. More like 40-48″ inches.
3. We’re using Mohawk Home planks from Costco. 7.5″ wide. This may have some bearing on the difficulty working backwards.
I’m starting to think that N-S would be easier and may even be aesthetically more pleasing, especially in the entryway hall, but would like your thoughts.
Also, we’re planning to terminate for now at the entrance to the bathroom/laundry room because there is work to be done there that has to wait until later. We’ll install a transition piece. My question is if it will be practical to remove the transition when we’re ready to put vinyl plank down in the future so it seamless, or is it too much effort?
Thanks!
