Carlos’ first LVP project – lower floor
Posted by Carlos on July 31, 2024 at 10:04 pmHey Joe,
Greetings. I will be ready to start the last floor in the next few days. I’ll go ahead and send you the floor plan. I sent you two images, one with dimensions and labels and one without.
The bathroom already has tile. This floor is on a concrete slab. I plan to lay the planks in North-South orientation.

Let me know if you were able to see the video.

Hey Joe, I am done with the flooring. Will share some details later, but everything turned out pretty good.
I’m almost ready to tackle the stairs, but I have a few questions. I just shared two videos with you on Google Drive.

Hi Joe,
I paused my flooring project for a couple of months. I am ready to finish the stairs. In your reply, you mentioned creating a jig to cut the planks precisely. Would something like that work as well?

Also, as for the adhesive on the stairs, I will use by the gallon and spread it using a v-notch trowel.
I usually use LOCTITE Power Grab for some of my projects. Is there any other specific adhesive that you find suitable and can you share a link? Thanks.

Hey Joe, thanks for replying. I will use LOCTITE 8x then. You use them by the 10-oz cartridge? Would each cartridge cover around 3-4 stairs? I have 14 to cover.
Won’t using a finish nailer leave a small hole? What do you cover with? Tks.

Thanks for replying. I was reading some reviews on the LOCTITE 8X, some users noticed how thick it is and some applied using an electric caulking gun, which I don’t have. I might buy one and give it a try. Have you experienced that? Tks.
