Vinyl planks on stairs
I have completed the bending of the planks to go around the bull-nosed stairs. I will be cutting them exactly to match the width of each tread and then gluing them down. (No expansion gap because I don’t think one panel will expand that much, and this way I don’t have to do trim on the steps. Please tell me if I’m mistaken.)
I’ve been using the hot glue gun you recommended, and I have plenty of glue sticks left. Is that what I should use for this, or should I use something else?

Thanks for the great reply as always. Would this Henry’s product be OK? I can get it right away at HD, and I can buy it by the quart. I’m thinking I’m only going to need one, maybe two quarts, and that would be $22, versus $40 for the gallon of the one you recommended.
I like the combo got glue/adhesive method you mentioned, although I’m likely to get about 8 hours before any traffic on the stairs if I do it right. What about putting hot glue inside the bullnose, instead of on the flat part of the tread? That way I could glue the whole tread, then use the bullnose to keep it in one place like you said. It also helps me use the extra box of glue sticks I bought and still have. 🙂
It would also be easy to leave the four corners of the tread area empty to use the hot glue there.
